
Retreats… let’s not over-complicate things.
It’s not about the luxury towels and treatments, the fancy yoga outfits, or the five star hotels.
The meaning of the word is actually to “withdraw”, time away in a peaceful place you can relax.
We don’t need more, we actually need less.
For me, it’s very simple. We heal in nature and the act of retreating is actually getting away from anything that removes us from who we truly are.
Yoga is the same. It’s not about the studio, the leggings or even the pose. It’s about stripping away anything that isn’t you, so you are free to be who you are.
We are not machines, we weren’t really designed to live in this crazy modern society. We are plants – we need sunshine, we need to be watered, and we need have the freedom to move, to adapt, to grow, to simply bloom.
That’s why I have designed my retreats in a way that’s really just taking us “back to basics”.
☀️ We wake up and catch the sunrise by the sea – meditating on light on water
🧘♀️We get the body moving in ways that is both natural and energising – Wild Yoga, inspired by nature, grounded in science
🌊 We get in the sea and soak up all the healing minerals while waking up the whole system
🥗 We nourish the body with nutrient-dense local, seasonal food – buffet-style so you can choose for yourself
🥾We go for walks in nature, to clear the mind, get grounded and be inspired by the stunning landscapes
😌 We take time for ourselves – to relax on the beach, take a sound bath or shiatsu, or relaxing massage – whatever our bodies tell us it needs
💃 We dance in the evening – just because it feels good and it helps us find freedom in our bodies
🤗 We connect with others and remind ourselves we are not alone, and we are here for each other
The most important aspect of my retreats is that you have freedom.
Freedom to choose what you want to do in any given moment, freedom to eat what you like, freedom to take part or spend time alone.
I want to empower you to be you, not anyone else, to be sovereign, make your own choices.
I’m here to guide you, only to help you re-connect with your body and with nature, so that you can tune in to what’s right for you and discard what’s not.
The best gift I think I can give you is that you leave the retreat feeling free to be you. But that maybe this week away gave you the time and space to recover who you are and what sets your soul alight.
That’s all. I just want you to be you.
