Lighten Up is about restoring natural radiance — in the body, the tissues, the mood, and the way you meet life — especially in darker seasons.
Using fascial movement, release, rhythm, and gentle strength, we work with both the physical and psychological weight that tends to accumulate in winter.
As the body softens and movement becomes freer, something else shifts too: energy returns, mood lifts, and joy becomes more accessible.
This isn’t about bypassing difficulty. It’s about finding light within it.
What this course is (and isn’t)
This is not:
• a detox or cleanse
• a weight-loss programme
• a strict routine you have to keep up with
It is:
• daily movement to wake up the body
• breath and meditation to set the tone for the day
• strength without rigidity
• joy, humour, and lightness of being
• a return to what actually supports you

How it works
For six weeks, you’ll be guided through a simple daily practice and weekly sessions designed to bring in light, movement, and ease.
Daily (about 30 minutes)
• Mobility, primal movement and somatics
• Breathwork
• Short meditation or intention
This practice is there to meet you where you are, not push you beyond your limits.
Weekly
• One somatic dance session to shake off tension, heaviness, and stuck energy
• Ongoing guidance and themes to support integration and reflection

The 21-Day Horse Stance Challenge
In the first part of the course, we’ll also explore a 21-day Horse Stance challenge, inspired by the energy of the Year of the Horse — freedom, strength, momentum, and forward movement.
• Start gently
• Build gradually towards holding for 5 minutes (or longer if you wish)
• Incorporates spirals and micro-movement so the body stays fluid, not rigid
This is about grounded strength, presence, and learning how to stay — without forcing.

We will begin with a gentle Sunday afternoon session on 4th January to introduce the course and join together as a group. As with all the classes, if you can’t make it live, you just catch up when you can, as you’ll receive a playlist of all the classes when it starts.
