Join us for a few grounded days at Halsbeer Farm in Devon—surrounded by rolling countryside, fresh air, and space to properly unwind.
This is a chance to reconnect with your body, spend time outdoors, and enjoy simple living in good company.

Mornings begin gently with natural light and movement. Days unfold with barefoot walks, time on the land, shared meals, and space to rest, stretch out, and just be.

Everything is thoughtfully guided, with a natural flow to the days—offering both structure and plenty of room to relax and follow your own pace.

🌿 Your Guide
For those who don’t know me, I’m Gillie.
I’ve been working in mind and body wellness for over 35 years, with a grounded, supportive approach to movement and retreat spaces.
Sessions are gentle, embodied, and accessible—designed to help you reset your nervous system and reconnect with your body.
This is a relaxed, non-judgemental space where everyone is welcome.
Having lived in Devon before moving to Croatia, this feels like a special return—and I’d love to share it with you.
Along with Katie, our host (below) I’ll also be around throughout if you’d like any one-to-one support or guidance.

Our host at Blackdown Yurts and Halsbeer Farm is none other than our very own Katie who has joined me on morning classes on Zoom since 2020.
Before that she came on my retreat days and workshops at Powderham, Topsham and Exmouth.
Katie has attended two of my retreats in Croatia, in Cavtat and on Iz, and so she totally gets what my retreats are about and will be joining us as a participant and working to make it a really special experience for everyone involved

Set within 30 acres of farmland and on the edge of the beautiful Blackdown Hills; an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Halsbeer Farm & Blackdown Yurts offer the perfect place to get away from it all and relax within Devon’s picturesque countryside.

Food is relaxed and shared:
A welcome meal, a paella night, and some basics are provided.
You’re also invited to bring food you enjoy—we’ll naturally share things pot-luck style, with space to cook together if you’d like.
No pressure—just an easy, nourishing rhythm around food and connection.
🎒 What to bring
Come as you are.
Bring comfortable clothes for movement and being outdoors, something warm for evenings, and anything that helps you feel at ease—blanket, journal, favourite mug.
You may also want:
– Walking shoes or boots
– A water bottle
– Swimwear (for the pool and the beach!) and a towel for swimming
– A yoga mat
- If you are staying in the yurts, all bedding is provided, but please bring your own towel.
Most importantly, bring an open mind and a willingness to slow down.

Not at all. Everything is gentle and adaptable.

No—it’s more relaxed and communal. A few meals and basics are provided, and the rest is shared.
Can I come on my own?
Absolutely. It’s a very welcoming and easy-going space.
